Finding the perfect home is never an overnight process. Choosing a neighborhood, viewing homes, comparing prices – the process needs to be nursed along.
Which is why Stephanie Riera Henne is such a good match for a would-be homeowner. After attending University of Louisiana at Lafayette and getting her degree from LSU School of Nursing, Stephanie has served as a pre-op nurse at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie.
While Stephanie likes nursing and helping people, her true love is real estate. She grew up riding shotgun as her dad, a real estate agent, viewed available homes, comparing architecture details and features of New Orleans-area houses. She became intimately familiar with real estate in Kenner, where she grew up, in River Ridge, where she has family, and in Metairie, where she went to Archbishop Chapelle High School and now lives. She also knows Destrehan, where her husband grew up and has family.
Stephanie has a special talent for helping people new to real estate. Whether it’s searching a more-affordable area like Lakeview or a home in need of renovation to accommodate a growing family, she can walk her client through the process and educate them on neighborhoods, pricing, and the sometimes-tricky subject of renovations.
She and her husband Jonathan bought a home in foreclosure and did most of the renovations themselves. “It’s a lot of hard work but it’s so rewarding,” she said. “It’s how you transform a house into a home.”
As a people-person, Stephanie naturally gravitated to Athena Real Estate. “At Athena, I’m a person, not just a number,” she says. “That’s how I treat my clients, and that’s what I found at Athena.”
