Katie O’Leary gets it done. She can show a home, negotiate a purchase price, update a listing, and still be back in Lakeview in time to teach her ballet class.
“Like many professional women with young kids, I keep a full schedule,” Katie says. “As I tell my dance students, the key is to stay 100 percent focused on doing your best.”
Katie’s record of achievements started early. Born and raised in New Orleans, she graduated Mount Carmel Academy and Mississippi State before getting her law degree at Loyola University New Orleans. After nearly a decade as an administrator at Tulane Law School, she got her real estate license and joined a large New Orleans agency.
“Real estate is a perfect career for me,” she says. “I can easily relate to first-time buyers like my law school grads, to my peers who are purchasing a home for a growing family, and to business-minded investors who are purchasing properties to rent.”
Katie welcomes the move to Athena. “This agency is more forward-thinking and attuned to technology,” she says, “and there’s an authentic sense of teamwork and family. I love it here.”
Katie knows New Orleans neighborhoods, especially Westbank, where she grew up; Gretna, where her parents now live; Metairie, home to many of her friends; and Lakeview, where she lives with her husband and two young girls. In addition to teaching dance and attending her daughters’ soccer games, Katie and her husband are big LSU sports fans.
